Today's Lopar was created as a settlement that continuously resisted the test of time from the younger stone age until the 4th century BC. Kr. Then an ancient Greek military fort was built on this location, the remains of which still bear witness to the history of Lopar. Lopar is one of the oldest settlements on the island of Rab.
